Located in the scenic village of Braithwaite, just west of Keswick, the Middle Ruddings Country Inn and Restaurant is a friendly, family owned business.
The extensive food menu is sourced locally where possible and all prepared freshly on site. Our offer is perfect for those wishing to recharge their batteries during a visit to the spectacular northern fells - £30 to be spent on food only, for half price just £15.
The Middle Ruddings was stone built in 1903 (with later extensions) and
retains the friendly and open atmosphere of that period. It is set in
attractive gardens. It is located in the pretty Lakeland village of
Braithwaite, two miles west of Keswick and opposite the impressive Skiddaw mountain range which dominates the Northern Fells and offers comfortable accommodation and good food in a central location. We support and use Fair Trade Products.
We are passionate about our food and have an extensive menu available, sourced locally where possible, which changes throughout the year and an example of which can be seen on the website.
All our meals are cooked from scratch in our kitchen, which means we can help those who have particular dietary needs. We encourage children to eat from the main menu and sample good food so we are happy to serve small portions to suit their needs. Our servings are really generous so if you have a small appetite please do ask for smaller servings and we can happily oblige. Our vegetables are lightly cooked for each table, so if you prefer your vegetables cooked a little longer please ask.
